The artwork features four main elements arranged in a symmetrical composition. Olives and olive leaves symbolize resilience, longevity, and the idea of being “rooted like the olive tree,” reflecting a deep connection to the land. The dove represents peace, while the key signifies the legacy of families who preserved the keys to their homes in hope of return. The sun completes the design as a symbol of hope and a brighter future.

Designer: Abeer Anabtawi is a graphic designer and illustrator whose work is defined by emotion, joyful boldness, and a strong sense of spontaneity. Her illustrations often juxtapose bright colors with a somber mood, reflecting a balance between lightness and depth. Drawing from both personal experience and cultural influence, Abeer’s work moves between the real and the imagined. Her creative voice is rooted in the freedom of imagination—roses can be blue, violets can be red.
