After spending 25 years away from my home in Iraq, returning to the Middle East made me reconnect with familiar things in a whole new way. The palm trees, the scent of jasmine in the evening, the olive trees, the orange blossoms... they brought back memories of my family, the house I grew up in, and a part of myself I didn't realize I had been missing.

That feeling inspired Nabat & Hagat. I wanted to reconnect with my roots by learning the stories hidden in the things that reminded me of home. What started as a personal journey has grown into a community of artists from across the Arab world, each sharing the stories of their homeland through memories, symbols, and traditions.

My hope is that every piece we create helps you reconnect with your own roots, discover someone else's story, and carry a little piece of home wherever life takes you.
