For the artist, this particular stamp holds a deeply personal meaning. It brings back memories of long summer days, laughter, and trips to Iraq - a place that feels like home, even though she never lived there.

Zahraa is an Iraqi-Canadian artist who finds inspiration in nostalgia, history, and the beauty of everyday objects. For her collaboration with Nabat & Hagat, she hand-painted an Iraqi postage stamp from 1965, transforming a small piece of history into a celebration of memory and belonging. Inspired by her visits to Iraq, the artwork captures the warmth of summer days, cherished memories, and the feeling of home.
